Check the cabinet and door for dents before signing for or unpacking it fully. Delivery damage is the most common problem.
Remove the thin film from the exterior. Left on, it can look like scratches.
If it was shipped on its side or upside down, stand it upright for several hours so the compressor oil settles.
Fit the leveling foot and leg so the fridge sits level and the door closes properly.
Attach the pull handle and the side bottle opener if you want them.
Plug in and let it reach temperature before filling it with food and drinks.

The Frigidaire EFR376 is a real compressor fridge in a very appealing retro package. It holds more than expected, keeps drinks and food properly cold for many owners, and adds a bottle opener, can dispenser and ice-making chiller. The compromises are a chiller that is not a true freezer, manual defrosting, a decorative plastic handle, mixed reports on temperature and noise, and a notable risk of dents in delivery.
Buy it for the style and the practical size, and plan for a defrost every few weeks. Check it over carefully when it arrives.
