Glocusent's 5W clip light is a proper bedside lamp in clamp form. Its 36 LEDs light a wide area evenly, and the three color temperatures each earn their place: amber at 1800K for reading before sleep, mild at 3200K for everyday use and natural at 6000K for crafts, puzzles and makeup, with five brightness levels in each. The clamp is strong, the gooseneck holds its position, and the 30-minute timer takes care of falling asleep mid-chapter. Every recurring theme leans positive, and the only real quality-control story, one owner's noisy gooseneck, was fixed with a replacement under warranty. The limit is the plug. With no battery it does nothing in a power cut, it can only go as far as its cord reaches, and it is far too big to clip to a book. If it will live on a headboard or desk near an outlet, it is one of the more capable reading lamps of its kind.
