Frozen Water Chambers, No Gels
Two chambers filled with regular water are frozen and surround the drink chamber, so the drink is chilled through the walls rather than by ice melting into it.
The HyperChiller HC2 Cooler is a great iced coffee with a fragile build, best for home iced-coffee drinkers. Rated 4.1 out of 5 across 23,623 user ratings. The main drawback: units can crack. We scored it 3.8 out of 5.
Fast, undiluted iced coffee is what the HyperChiller HC2 does brilliantly; lasting is what it does less well. Pour hot coffee into its 12.5 oz centre chamber, swirl for about a minute against the frozen water around it, and it comes out cold and full-strength, but units can crack and the warranty is only 90 days.
NoFussDeal rates the HyperChiller HC2 Cooler 3.8 out of 5 at $24.99. Last updated September 26, 2026.
Two chambers filled with regular water are frozen and surround the drink chamber, so the drink is chilled through the walls rather than by ice melting into it.
Hot coffee is chilled in roughly 60-90 seconds, with a quick claim of under 60 seconds, and swirling speeds things along.
The centre chamber holds 12.5 fluid ounces, enough for a single brewed cup.
With single-serve and K-Cup machines you can brew directly into the chiller, and with drip machines you pour from the carafe.
All parts are dishwasher safe, and day to day a simple rinse is usually all it needs.
It is made from BPA-free polypropylene plastic and food-grade stainless steel, billed as a new, stronger and more durable version, and backed by a 90-day warranty.

Fill the ice chambers with plain water, leaving a little space at the top so expanding ice does not stress the shell.
Place it upright in the freezer and leave it until the water is frozen solid. Keeping it there between uses means it is always ready.
Brew directly into it from a single-serve or K-Cup machine if it fits under the spout, or pour from a carafe or cup. Stay within the 12.5 oz chamber.
Swirl for about a minute, or leave it to stand a little longer if you are not in a hurry.
Pour the chilled coffee into a glass and add creamer or ice.
It is a handheld chilling cup for hot coffee and other drinks, not a wine fridge. Two frozen water chambers surround a 12.5 oz drink chamber and chill the drink in about 60-90 seconds without diluting it.
About a minute with swirling, within a stated range of 60-90 seconds. Left to stand without swirling, it takes a few minutes.
The drink chamber holds 12.5 fluid ounces, enough for one cup. About 10 oz is easier to swirl without sloshing.
Yes, with single-serve and K-Cup machines where it fits under the spout. With a drip machine, pour from the carafe instead.
Yes, all parts are dishwasher safe, and a simple rinse is usually all it needs.
It can. Cracked units are the most common complaint, sometimes after months and sometimes after years of use. This version is billed as stronger and more durable, but the warranty is only ninety days. Freezing it upright and leaving room in the ice chambers helps.

DETAILED REVIEW HyperChiller Maxi Matic Instant Iced Coffee DOES IT WORK? YES!
Just A Dad Approved
The HyperChiller HC2 does its one job well: hot coffee goes in and, after about a minute of swirling, comes out cold and still full-strength, with nothing melting into it. It suits anyone who drinks iced coffee or iced lattes daily, and it is easy to clean. The drawback is durability: units can crack, one stainless unit's base bulged and leaked meltwater into the cup, and the warranty is only 90 days. You are buying a useful, inexpensive gadget that may need replacing.
Buy it if you want undiluted iced coffee in about a minute and can accept that it may crack in time. If you need something built to last for years without care, this is not it.
