304 Stainless Steel Build
The lid, egg tray, poaching/omelet bowl and heating plate are food-grade 304 stainless steel, and the tray has two small heat-resistant BPA-free grips.
The Annie & Mia Egg Cooker is a stainless egg cooker best for hard-boiled, best for hard-boiled egg fans. Rated 4.2 out of 5 across 392 user ratings. The main drawback: soft and medium eggs can take trial and error with the water amount. We scored it 4.2 out of 5.
Hard-boiled eggs are where this Annie & Mia cooker shines, and its mostly 304 stainless build keeps plastic away from your food. Soft and medium eggs are harder, because doneness depends on how much water you add, and the printed guide does not suit every kitchen.

Fill the measuring cup to the line for your number of eggs and doneness, and pour it onto the heating plate. Treat the lines as a starting point.
Use the piercer on the measuring cup to make a small hole in the wide end of each egg, where the air pocket is.
Set up to seven eggs in the tray, pierced end up, or use the poaching/omelet bowl instead.
Put the lid on and press the button. There is no timer to set.
When the alarm sounds, press the button to silence it, lift the lid straight away and move the eggs to cold water.
When the water has boiled away, the heater switches off internally and an alarm sounds. The base may still feel hot and the button stays on; press it to silence the alarm and reset for next time.
The egg was pierced at the narrow end. Pierce the wide end instead, where the air pocket is, so air escapes without forcing white through the membrane.
Almost. The lid, egg tray, poaching/omelet bowl and heating plate are 304 stainless steel. The only plastic is two small heat-resistant grips on the egg tray.
Yes. The included poaching/omelet bowl cooks poached eggs and omelets, and it can steam vegetables or dim sum too.
Up to seven eggs at a time. Annie & Mia quotes 5 to 13 minutes depending on doneness and the number of eggs.

The Annie & Mia Design cooker makes hard-boiled eggs quickly and easily, in a body where everything that touches the eggs is 304 stainless steel. It draws little power, cleans up mostly in the dishwasher and switches itself off when the water is gone. Soft and medium eggs are less predictable, because the water marks do not suit every kitchen, and the alarm and the outdated instruction booklet are small irritations.
Buy it for fast, easy-peel hard-boiled eggs from a mostly stainless cooker. Expect to spend a few batches finding your own water level for soft or medium eggs.
